Why I Celebrated And Married My Wife In A Truck - Victor Osuagwu

Here is what actor Victor Osuagwu told Leadership magazine about his wife and marriage.

  • Why did it take you almost 14 years before taking your wife to the altar?
Some people even said it was because I didn’t have money to organise the wedding. But to me, it was a deliberate act. It was a promise made to God that when he blesses me I’m going to celebrate my marriage in a very big way. I don’t  owe my in-laws, everything about marriage was done in 2002 but I promised God that if he keeps me alive by the time my last born would be five years old, I would celebrate my marriage, alongside my children. And that was exactly what I did immediately my last born clocked five.
  • What motivated you to have your wedding in a truck?
That was my own way of entertaining people because the entertainment must continue and that is my job as a comic actor. I must apply all the tactics within my disposal to make my fans happy. It is not only on screen that I can make people smile and laugh. I felt that I could also achieve same without being on TV. I was using the occasion to celebrate my wife having endured for a long time waiting for me. I made my fans realise that I’m a core entertainer on and off the screen. Port Harcourt knew that someone was wedding on that day.

  6. That's his choice, the fact remains that he finally wedded, though not too classy, but in a way people will never forget in a hurry. Victor you are a real comedian.

  9. We mustn't all ride in Limos, abeg! He's a funny guy and wanted to add comedy to his day. And his wife didn't seem to mind. (OR was that the condition for marriage?(lol)

    People have done worse.

  10. Is the truck that mattered or staying happily married!!

  11. This wife has lived happily with dis comedian for yrs and actually understands what it takes to be the wife of a comedian. That's why we have nt heard of any divorce from them unlike the other classy actors nd actresses. Let's not make her feel bad for allowing her husband have fun on their day. Infact she also deserves the prize for best comedian of the year. Its nt easy nd she's nt complaining of nt having fun, is she?

  12. All ye ranting like empty tins of milk that his excuses are lame its ur brains that are actually lame. Do y'all think its possible 4 him 2 drag his wife on a truck against her wish in her own hometown? For ur information, the wife consented to the idea and its was a hilarious scene that anyone who witnessed it will not forget in a hurry. Victor provides for his family by being a comic actor and the wife understands that and even keyed into the idea of doing something funny 4 real and that doesn't mean she does not have posh cars that she cruises so all ye saying its classless its cos u prefer 2 borrow limo that might not even have ACs 2 use 4 ur occasions. 2 me the woman is a virtueous woman who understands and compliment her man. *sigh* mind y'all i was there at uniport on d wedding day.
