Wizkid Didn't Buy The World's Most Expensive Champagne He Popped For His Birthday - DailyMail

According to the very popular UK website, DailyMail, One Direction's Liam Payne splashed £1.2million on the Alexander Amosu's champagne Wizkid popped for his birthday.
Here's what they wrote:
His band (Liam's band) One Direction are officially the highest-earning youngsters in the music industry, and he took home a whopping £5million earnings in the last year alone.
And Liam Payne was evidently feeling very generous indeed on Tuesday night when he reportedly treated a pal to a bottle of champagne, worth a staggering £1.2million.
Dubbed 'the world's most expensive champagne', the kind-hearted 19-year-old is
believed to have made sure his Nigerian musician pal, Wizkid, had the best 24th birthday a boy could wish for by splashing out on a bottle of Taste Of Diamond at London's Funky Buddha nightclub.
And it would appear generous Liam had made his friend's night, with Wizkid tweeting: 'What a night! Thanks to all that made that happen! Had fun!'
Just as most Nigerians were not happy with the amount the champagne costs, so also did most of the website readers say how disgusted they are with the amount in their comments.

Though Alexander Amosu says the Swarovski diamond edition costs  £350, not £1.2m.

  1. Why Α̲̅я̩̥̊ε̲̣̣̣̥ they analysing and why Α̲̅я̩̥̊ε̲̣̣̣̥ ppl complaining???....*in eldee's voice* i̶̲̥̅̊s̶̲̥̅̊ it Ɣ☺U̶̲̥̅̊R money??

  2. They earned their money, they have d right to spend it on worrefa they like... It was his day.. nd Liam made it a memorable one for him

  3. Hmm, bloggers ehh, I said it b4. Hw would he buy a champagne for dat amount

  4. ist of all it is extremely unwise(economically, morally, mentally..lolz) to spend 1.2m GBP on jes a wine when u actually made jes 5mGBP

2nd, jes bcos daily mail is purported to be a credible news sourse does not make every of their news credible and does not make dis particular story credible

3rd, i still maintin that, the so called wine was a gift from amosu himself

And jes bcos we accept ppl's excesses and let em do wah they wanna do, does not mean we shld support it or not criticise it... Its part of life to criticise, jes dnt insult or demean the said person

If the lad truly bought that wine, then it was a very unwise and rash decision... Take it or leave it... Sorry for ma long sermon

  5. Dat site is fake AF!.... Amosu only made one original diamond crested bottle , the others u see around are replica's dey think every nigerian Is stupid ba? If it wer realy d original u wud have hrd of it in CNN n the rest.-fineboy1pimple 2a6f2335
