An alleged video of a party rigging the 2015 presidential election in the North is currently circulating on social media. INEC just tweeted these to debunk the video.
The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari, has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections nationwide.
General Buhari said the hiccups experienced in few states over the card readers were not enough to cast aspersions on the election.
Fielding questions from journalists in his house in Daura, Katsina State, ChannelsTV reports that General Buhari said reports made available to him by his observers indicated that the election had been generally peaceful. He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission for extending the exercise in some polling units till tomorrow.
The APC Presidential candidate, however, appealed to all his supporters to remain calm no matter the outcome of the election.
The Governor of Rivers State, Chibuike Amaechi, has been stopped from moving around different polling units in the state by the military.
Channels Television’s correspondent in Port Harcourt, the state capital, said Mr. Amaechi, who drove himself in a black 4WD, was stopped by the Brigade Commander of the second Brigade, Bori Camp, Essien Essien, who engaged the governor in a debate over his mission to ascertain the availability of result sheets at the polling units.

The two prominent PDP stalwarts were pelted soon as they alighted from their respective vehicles at Jigiriya polling units. According to Vanguard, Baraka Sani’s aide was also injured while senator Lado took to his heel and escaped with minor injury.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has extended voting during the Presidential and National Elections to Sunday in areas where there were hitches.
While addressing the press at the Media Centre of the National Collation Centre in Abuja, the Chairman of INEC Committee on Information and Voters Education, Mr. Chris Iyimoga, said with the hitches in some parts of the country, there was no way the Presidential and National Assembly Elections could be concluded today (Saturday). A former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, was embarrassed by a thug, Ise Aye, while Tinubu was doing his accreditation at polling unit 047 on Kaffi/Sunday Adigun Street, Alausa, Ikeja.

Hello Laila, here is my election report. The name at the back of my card reader and the front is different. Hence, the bio metrics information that came out from my card is for a different person entirely. I looked for the other person hoping my name will be on his own card, but his own card too was carrying a different name entirely.
Eventually, he was able to do his accreditation with my own PVC but I have to look for the person carrying my name on his own card. So far no luck, and as it stands I stand disenfranchised.

APC vice presidential candidate, Professor Yemi Osibanjo and wife, Dolapo have arrived their polling centre at Eti-osa, Lagos. Dolapo drove the couple to the venue. Reports from their centre has it that INEC staff arrived late, at about 10am while the APC VP arrived 9am. Voters had to register their names and were assigned numbers while they waited for the INEC officials. More pics after the cut.
