My father truly held meeting with Buhari on Nigeria’s unity – Ojukuwu’s son speaks

Late Chukwuemeka Ojukwu’s first son, Emeka Ojukwu Jr. has condemned the statement credited to him of refuting the remarks of the President, concerning Buhari’s relationship and discussions with his late father.

He denied granting any media interview or posting any massage on social media that Buhari was wrong about his discussions with his late father.

The media was awashed with reports that Ojukwu Jr. replied Buhari’s statements as untrue which members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) described as lies, demanding proof of the meeting with the late Ikemba of Nnewi with Mr. President.

In a statement issued today, made available to newsmen in Awka, Ojukwu Jr. noted that his late father actually held the said meeting with Buhari before his demise, adding that all that Buhari said in his nationwide broadcast were true.

He warned that such malicious and damaging publications would not be taken lightly should it be repeated.

The statement read in part,

“It has been brought to my attention that there is an article making the rounds on social media attributed to me refuting the remarks of Mr. President concerning his relationship and discussions with my late father.

“Let me lend my voice to those of the rest of my fellow countrymen and welcome Mr. President back home.

“Let me state the following categorically; firstly, that I made no such comments to anybody, and secondly that I am aware that His Excellency’s comments were indeed factual.

“I have noticed a disturbing trend recently of fake news being attributed to me on social media. I don’t know who is behind it or what their motivation might be, but let me assure you that any time I feel the need to comment publicly on any matter, I will not do so via some anonymous email or anything of the like, rather be rest assured that there will be no ambiguity whatsoever as to whether the comments came from me.”

While calling on members of the public to discountenance the stories in the social media or any media platform, Ojukwu Jr. urged the President not to take such comments serious as it smacks of gutter and yellow media reportage aimed at overheating the polity.

Ayam not understanding, who cares about what his father and buhari agreed behind closed doors?
Is that making any legitimate sense, that two men will just sit only God knows where, drinking brutuku and decide the fate and future of millions of people without considering their thoughts on the matter. The fact remains things are bad and majority of the people are at the receiving end of the bad decisions and political strategy of the governments so far, while them the so called leaders are basking in the fortune of the nation to the detriment of the people…till these issues are addressed, Nigeria would still be facing uprisings and agitations of different kinds.

Bro you are a bastard. Your father held meeting with Buhari over generations of people, and that makes it look like he’s a god.

Fuck! we don’t know who you are. Your father who is death can’t decide about millions of living beings and their generations to come.

If you got nothing to say don’t come in public and be a disgrace to the name of your father because he wasn’t daft while he was alive.

And the meeting must have documents, signed by both and stamped, bring your father’s copy and let Buhari bring his. If you guys fail to do this then you are chronic liars.

Even if your father held a meeting, how does that affect the actualization of Biafra now,we the igbos want to secede, and whether your Dad had a meeting or not it’s not relevant at this point, he is late and really can’t defend himself, and he is not the Lord over any igbo indigene

Ur dad met with Buhari doesn’t mean, that he speaks the mind of igbo people, so with Buhari. Buhari made the mistake by mentioning that. Two people cannot ND will never discuss the future of a tribe. Probably it can happen in Hausa but for Igbos, I think u hv read Things Fall Apart, we have no king. We hv UMUNNA, the highest law making. Decision is made based on collective opinion ND not one person. I never heard that Igbos collectively sent Ojukwu to go ND speak their minds to Buhari.

First: Ojukwu never declared Biafra on his own
Second: he ditched Biafra when it became so hot.
Third: Nnamdi Kanu never did (yet)
    Fourth: y’all re liars
